Liberty Mutual Units Seek to Duck Baptist Church Sex Abuse Suits

Two Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. units sued to dodge the costs of lawsuits against the Immanuel Baptist Church alleging multiple instances of sexual abuse by a former youth group leader.

Primary insurance policies issued to the Virginia church by Peerless Indemnity Co. included coverage for sexual misconduct and molestation liability, commercial general liability, pastoral professional liability, and religious organization directors and officers liability.
