Actor and director Justin Baldoni and his studio want a New York federal judge to toss an insurance case filed by one carrier over actress Blake Lively’s harassment lawsuit in favor of a separate case the studio brought against several other of its insurers in California state court.
California is a proper and more convenient forum for the dispute because the relevant liability insurance policies were issued there and it is Wayfarer Sudios LLC’s principal place of business, a motion to dismiss filed Oct. 24 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said.
