Berkshire Unit Seeks Coverage Ruling on NY Ghost Gun Lawsuits

A general liability policy issued to a Missouri-based firearm retailer doesn’t cover “ghost gun"-related litigation, a Berkshire Hathaway insurance unit said in an intervenor complaint in a coverage dispute involving an American International Group Inc unit.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Co. filed its complaint in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on May 30, after the court granted its motion to intervene on May 27.

The underlying suits brought by two New York cities and state Attorney General Letitia James (D) alleged firearm companies fueled gun violence by marketing and selling ghost guns. The litigation ...
