Berkshire Unit to Join AIG in New York Ghost Gun Coverage Fight

A Berkshire Hathaway Inc. insurance unit won its bid to join American International Group Inc. in a New York federal court dispute over coverage for “ghost gun"-related litigation against a Missouri-based firearm retailer.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Co.'s coverage dispute with KM Tactical LLC “relates to the same Underlying Lawsuits and hinges on an interpretation of the exact same contractual language” as the AIG unit’s pending suit, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said in a Tuesday ruling.
