Berkley Insurance Unit Off the Hook in Pilot Training Crash Case

A W. R. Berkley Corp. insurance unit won’t have to cover a suit against pilot training firm Global One Training Group LLC over a 2018 plane crash, after the underlying plaintiffs reached a settlement with Boeing Co. that didn’t require any payment from Global One.

The US District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Feb. 27 granted StarNet Insurance Co.'s request for a final judgment that it had no duty to cover the suit against Global One.
