Texas Widow Appeals Ruling for Hospital in Covid Patient’s Death

A Texas woman is appealing a judgment for a health-care facility where her physically and mentally impaired husband died after being put on a do-not-resuscitate order during treatment for Covid-19, she told a federal court.

Melissa Hickson indicated her intent to ask the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to reverse the judgment for St. David’s Healthcare Partnership LP in a notice of appeal filed Nov. 22 in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
