Planned Parenthood Gets $1.5 Million Additional Attorneys’ Fees

An anti-abortion group must pay Planned Parenthood Federation of America an additional $1.5 million to compensate for attorneys’ fees and costs it incurred in fending off post-trial actions taken by the group, a federal trial court said Wednesday.

PPFA sued the Center for Medical Progress in 2016, alleging the group unlawfully infiltrated and recorded its meetings and published the misleadingly edited videos to further its anti-abortion agenda. The US District Court for the Northern District of California entered judgment for PPFA and numerous local affiliates in December 2020. Judge William H.
