Eli Lilly Won’t Get Quick Exit From Mounjaro Injury Claims

Eli Lilly & Co. failed to get an early exit Monday from a Louisiana woman’s suit alleging she suffered severe side effects from its Mounjaro diabetes drug.

Jaclyn Bjorklund says she used Novo Nordisk’s Ozempic for more than a year, stopping around July 2023. At that point, she began using Mounjaro, an Eli Lilly drug. She sued both companies in August, saying she had to be hospitalized several times to treat bouts of vomiting—including vomiting so severe that she lost teeth.
