Abacus’ $116 Million Air Force Intranet Award Withstands Protest

Abacus Technology Corp. can perform a $116 million intranet control support services task order to operate the US Air Force’s portion of the Department of Defense information network, the GAO said in a decision released Tuesday.

Protester and incumbent contractor SMS Data Products Group Inc., which submitted a $128 million bid, didn’t demonstrate that the Air Force should have viewed Abacus’ lower price as a risk to successful contract performance, the US Government Accountability Office said.
