The US Chamber of Commerce is trying to challenge environmental groups’ bids to strengthen the SEC’s climate disclosure regulations in court, after the business association sued to kill the rules.
The Chamber on Thursday asked the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit to let it defend the Securities and Exchange Commission against lawsuits from the Sierra Club and the Natural Resources Defense Council, which have said the March rules were too weak.
