The Sierra Club on Wednesday challenged the SEC’s climate disclosure regulations in the DC Circuit, pulling another court into the legal fray over the rules.

The environmental group’s petition for the liberal-leaning US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to review the March 6 regulations is one of at least seven such requests pending across five courts, but is the first that will argue the rules don’t go far enough. The US appeals courts for the Fifth, Sixth, Eighth and Eleventh circuits, which all skew conservative, received the six other petitions from businesses and Republican attorneys general. ...
