The US Chamber of Commerce has urged the DC Circuit to reinstate SEC rules restricting ISS and other proxy advisory firms, as a manufacturers group seeks the regulations’ return.
The Securities and Exchange Commission issued the rules in 2020 following a “careful review” of the proxy firm industry, the Chamber said in an amicus brief that challenged a judge’s decision to scrap the rules.
