Bain Capital Affiliate Drops Real Estate Lawsuit Against Carlyle

Carlyle Group Inc. has resolved litigation over claims that it meddled in a commercial real estate joint venture by working with a property developer to usurp business opportunities from a Bain Capital LP affiliate.

The Bain affiliate, Atlantic NWI LLC, dropped the case from Delaware’s Chancery Court about two months after a judge said it could move forward. The lawsuit asserted one tortious interference count against Carlyle, which wasn’t a party to the agreements between Atlantic and the developer.
