An attorney for Twin Metals Minnesota LLC on Monday asked the D.C. Circuit to hold its case in abeyance because the company believes the second Trump administration will permit its copper mine shortly after taking office next week.
“On the eve of a new administration that has publicly and enthusiastically expressed support for this project, we think that the government could immediately take new action that could moot the actions on appeal,” Twin Metals attorney Lisa Blatt, partner at Williams & Connolly LLP, said during oral arguments Monday.
