Plastics Company Wins Dismissal of Groups’ PFAS Production Case

A federal district court has dismissed environmental groups’ lawsuit claiming a plastics packaging company illegally produced PFAS, while a separate EPA lawsuit making the same allegations proceeds.

The US District Court for the District of Columbia dismissed on April 6 a lawsuit led by the Center for Environmental Health. The environmental groups alleged Inhance Technologies USA violated the Toxic Substances Control Act by producing certain PFAS without the approval required by Environmental Protection Agency regulations.
