A company that says its existence is threatened by EPA orders to stop its plastic strengthening business due to PFAS production has petitioned a federal appeals court to review those orders.
Inhance Technologies LLC asked the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on Friday to review nine orders the Environmental Protection Agency announced Dec. 1 directing the company to stop exposing plastic containers to fluorine gas because of the PFAS the process generates. The EPA’s orders are effective Feb. 28, 2024.
