Pennsylvania Nuns’ Fight Against TransCo Pipeline Gets Revived

Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Co. faces another legal challenge from an order of nuns in Pennsylvania who say its pipeline violates their religious beliefs, according to filings in federal court.

The lawsuit filed by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania comes after multiple unsuccessful attempts to stop the Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline from being built on their property in Lancaster County. The Roman Catholic sisters say the pipeline conflicts with their vows to protect and preserve Earth.

The U.S. Supreme Court previously declined to hear their earlier lawsuit seeking to stop construction on the pipeline. ...
