Gershow Recycling Corp. doesn’t admit liability, but will pay a $555,000 civil penalty to settle claims it failed to adequately mitigate volatile organic compound emissions at a metal shredder facility in Medford, NY. The parties’ consent judgment was approved Tuesday by Judge Gary R. Brown of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
