North Dakota Challenge to Energy Resource Plan Put on Pause

North Dakota and the Interior Department on Wednesday were granted their request to pause their legal dispute over an amended resource management plan that allegedly limited oil development.

North Dakota claimed in February that a Biden-era land management plan unlawfully undermined energy development.

The state said the Bureau of Land Management under the Interior Department violated the National Environmental Policy Act and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act when revising the decades-old resource management plan.
