Judge Grants Trump Request to Review SouthCoast Wind Project (1)

The Trump administration on Tuesday won its bid to reconsider a Biden-era permitting decision for the SouthCoast Wind Energy project off the coast of Massachusetts.

“The court will grant Federal Defendants’ motion in the interest of judicial economy, given Plaintiff’s support of a remand,” Judge Tanya S. Chutkan of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said.

Nantucket, Mass., in March challenged the Interior Department’s approvals of SouthCoast Wind’s industrial offshore wind farm that the town said would disrupt the area’s tourism-driven economy.
