Environmental and policy organizations lost their bid to temporarily halt construction on a wind project off the coast of Virginia after a federal court said the groups hadn’t demonstrated they’d face irreparable injury.
“While Plaintiffs have shown a substantial likelihood of standing, they have not demonstrated that they will suffer irreparable harm in the absence of a preliminary injunction or administrative stay,” Judge Loren L. AliKhan of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said.
