EPA Delays Industry Deadline to Submit for Data on 16 Chemicals

The EPA announced Thursday it’s delaying until May 21, 2027, the deadline for chemical manufacturers to submit health and safety data on 16 chemicals.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s final rule pushes the data submission deadline back by more than two years from the original March 2025 date the Biden administration set. The rule required information to help its oversight of chemicals including benzene, bisphenol A, vinyl chloride, and styrene. Under the second Trump administration, the agency twice previously issued more limited deadline delays.
