EI Dupont de Nemours to Pay $27 Million in New York Class Action

E.I. Dupont de Nemours and Co. will pay $27 million to settle a class action lawsuit over forever chemical contamination in a New York town’s drinking water supply.

The US District Court for the Northern District of New York approved the settlement terms Thursday for the last remaining defendant in a years-long lawsuit against chemicals and plastics companies over Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in the village of Hoosick Falls’ water supply.

The agreement largely covers monetary relief and contributes to the medical monitoring program previously established in a 2022 settlement reached with 3M Co., Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corp. and Honeywell ...
