Colorado can proceed with its plan to reintroduce endangered gray wolves into the western part of the state after a federal judge denied ranchers’ request to put the reintroduction on hold.
Halting the release of wolves would be contrary to the public interest, Judge Regina M. Rodriguez of the US District Court for the District of Colorado said.
