3M Loses Bid to Stop Texas Suit From Proceeding in State Court

A Texas state court can move ahead in considering a lawsuit the state brought against 3M Co. and other PFAS manufacturers after a federal district court rejected 3M’s bid to hold off on its remand order while the company appeals.

A judge last month denied 3M’s request to move the case from a state court to the US District Court of the Northern District of Texas, prompting 3M to file an emergency motion to stay the remand order so it could appeal the case to the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
