Texas PFAS Lawsuit Against 3M, DuPont Will Remain in State Court

A judge denied a request by 3M Co. to move a lawsuit brought against it by Texas to federal court, killing the latest attempt by the company to change the jurisdiction of an array of lawsuits from states suing over PFAS pollution.

3M alleged the case should be moved to federal court because it concerns consumers in Texas as opposed to the state. Texas alleged that because it’s trying to enforce its own laws and penalize 3M, the state is the party in the case.
