Werner Truckers Seek Final Nod for $18 Million Deal in Wage Case

Werner Enterprises Inc. truck drivers asked a federal judge in Nebraska to approve an $18 million settlement with the company to end their 12-year-old wage class action.

The deal resolves the claims of around 100,000 current and former Werner truckers and covers a period stretching from June 2010 to November 2023, the workers told the US District Court for the District of Nebraska on Thursday. The parties initially announced they had reached a settlement last fall, just one day before they were set to face off in the courtroom.
