A federal appeals court appears divided over whether to affirm a district judge’s order allowing a Florida transgender math teacher to stay employed while challenging a state law barring educators from sharing their preferred titles and pronouns with K-12 students.

State education officials asked the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit to vacate an April preliminary injunction order from Judge Mark E.
