Veterans-Focused Anti-Bias Compliance Audits Scheduled by DOL

The Labor Department has scheduled 500 federal contractor sites for focused reviews of compliance with a federal law that bars discrimination against military veterans, the agency announced Nov. 8.

Companies that include Shutterstock, Argus Media, and Hitachi High-Technologies, are on the list, which is a supplement to a March list of federal contractors slated for annual audit. The DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs regularly and randomly audits companies that work with the government for compliance with federal anti-bias laws, including the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act.
