Tyler Technologies Workers Get $3.25 Million Wage Deal Approved

A $3.25 million revised settlement between Tyler Technologies Inc. and nearly 300 software consultants received final approval from a federal judge in California, resolving claims that the employees were misclassified as exempt from overtime pay.

Tyler initially agreed to pay $3.15 million to end the federal and state class action. But the software company agreed to provide an extra $108,300, after learning that its original calculations were based on incomplete employment records.

The deal now allocates about $2.45 million to the 295 class and collective members for individual payments, which range from $200 to $61,442, according to the order entered ...
