Tyler Technologies to Pay $3.15 Million to Settle Labor Dispute

Tyler Technologies Inc. agreed to pay $3.15 million to settle a class suit by employees who say they were misclassified and wrongly denied overtime pay, according to a motion for preliminary approval filed in a California federal court.

The proposed class and collective action settlement includes payments to all class members and attorneys’ fees and costs, the parties say in the filing with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Tyler Technologies will also pay the employer’s share of payroll taxes associated with the payments, the filing says.
