Teamsters Announce UPS Partially Rescinds Driver Buyout Program

The United Parcel Service Inc. is rolling back its buyout offer for drivers in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ central region.

The Teamsters said Tuesday the reversal applies to drivers in 13 states from Nebraska to Ohio. The union said it represents over 68,000 UPS workers in the central region.

The Teamsters sued UPS in February, alleging the company violated the parties’ National Master Agreement by not consulting with the union before offering the voluntary resignations.
