Four New Jersey nurses failed to convince the US Supreme Court to take up their challenge to a now-rescinded state mandate requiring health-care workers to get Covid-19 vaccine booster shots.
The justices declined Monday to examine a US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit decision dismissing as moot the nurses’ appeal of a district court’s finding that they didn’t show that the vaccination requirement violated their constitutional rights.
The lower court denied the plaintiffs’ bid to block Gov. Philip Murphy (D)'s executive order, ruling that the state demonstrated a legitimate interest in curbing the spread of the deadly virus. ...
