New Jersey Health Workers Lose Bid to Halt Covid Booster Shots

Four New Jersey health-care workers failed to halt the enforcement of state executive orders requiring them to take Covid-19 vaccine booster shots because they didn’t show the orders violate their constitutional rights, a federal court said.

First issued by Gov. Philip Murphy (D) in January, the orders require health-care workers in the state to be up-to-date on their Covid-19 vaccines, including booster shots. They don’t contain any sanctions for noncompliance, leaving it up to individual employers to decide on how to discipline employees who refuse vaccinations.
