Strippers Unionize After Reaching Deal With Los Angeles Club (2)

A Los Angeles strip club reached an agreement to recognize and bargain with a union representing dancers, becoming the first club in the US with unionized exotic dancers in nearly three decades.

Star Garden Topless Dive Bar also withdrew challenges to voting eligibility that prevented the counting of ballots cast in an election last November, the union and club announced Tuesday.

The National Labor Relations Board will count those votes May 18. The agency is expected to formally certify the Actors’ Equity Association as the dancer’s representative, the club and the union said.
