Steakhouse Chain Ordered to Repay Servers Pooled Tips Losses (1)

The company behind Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille will have to return tips to former Texas-based subminimum wage servers because of taking a cut for employees who worked before the restaurant opened, a federal judge said.

Perry’s Restaurants Ltd. must also fork over the difference between the $7.25 federal minimum wage and $2.13 subminimum it paid servers for each week it pooled their tips, Judge Robert Pitman said Monday.
