Staffing Company Pleads Guilty in Wright State Visa Fraud Case

An Ohio-based staffing company pleaded guilty to knowing about visa fraud occurring at Wright State University and not informing authorities.

Web Yoga Inc. may have to pay a $566,000 fine, according to a statement from Benjamin Glassman, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio. Web Yoga learned that Wright State in Dayton, Ohio, wasn’t properly employing foreign workers through a federal program. The university was obtaining H-1B visas for workers it said were physically located on campus, but instead were scattered across the country.

Wright State settled its own visa fraud allegations for $1 million in November 2018.
