A shipping company must give information to the union representing its workers and appear for arbitration meetings after the National Labor Relations Board ruled it acted unlawfully.
The NLRB held Tuesday that Sunrise Operations LLC, owned by the Pasha Group, illegally failed to provide information on licensed deck officers to the International Organization of Masters, Mates & Pilots upon request, and then refused to appear for arbitration at the union’s headquarters in Maryland.
