Senate to Vote on Repeal of Trump Worker Bias Rule, Schumer Says

The Senate will vote this week whether to overturn a rule on how employers can resolve workplace bias claims, its third effort to kill a regulation from the Trump administration.

A measure to repeal the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission rule (S.J. Res. 13) is first on the Senate’s to-do list this week, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Monday. The rule mandated the agency turn over more information to employers during a process known as conciliation, which is used to resolve discrimination disputes as an alternative to litigation.
