Senate Advances Key Trump Labor Department, EEOC Officials (Correct)

The Senate advanced 11 nominees to serve at the US Labor Department and other labor agencies, teeing up a vote to fill key leadership roles for the Trump administration.

Senators voted 51-46 to advance a batch of 108 nominations Friday, including various top enforcement positions at the DOL, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

The pending confirmations will restore leadership for several of the agency’s key offices. Quorum will be restored at the EEOC and the Merit Systems Protection Board, allowing both panels to resume functioning fully.
