The Department of Homeland Security and Department of Labor released an eagerly awaited rule Monday authorizing 35,000 supplemental temporary work visas for hiring through Sept. 30.
The Biden administrationfirst announced March 31 that it would issue the temporary final rule to release additional H-2B visas, citing labor market demands.
Employers can begin petitioning for the visas May 18, when the rule is set to be published in the Federal Register, according to the agencies.
