Republicans Seek Resolution to Nullify DOL Prevailing Wage Rule

A group of House Republicans have introduced legislation to thwart a US Department of Labor rule aimed at raising the wage rate paid to workers on federal infrastructure projects.

The resolution of disapproval, which was announced Monday, would nullify a regulation finalized by the DOL in August that changed how “prevailing wages” are calculated under the Davis-Bacon Act.
