Religious Vaccine Objection Ruling Ducks Full Fifth Circuit Look

The precedential value of a groundbreaking, yet unpublished, federal appeals court decision on religious objections to United Airlines Inc.‘s Covid-19 vaccine mandate is now murkier after the full court declined to review it, according to one of the judges.

The US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on Thursday rejected without comment United’s request to reconsider a divided decision by a three-judge panel in February that revived a bid from two workers for an immediate court order blocking the airline’s inoculation requirement. The circuit’s judges voted 13-4 against reconsidering the ruling.
