NLRB Upholds Ruling New Jersey Hotel Company Broke Labor Law

A New Jersey hotel operator violated federal labor law when it declined to bargain with its union and refused to hire employees due to their union activity, the National Labor Relations Board said.

The three-member panel in a Thursday opinion upheld an administrative law judge’s decision from November 2024 that found Fairfield Parsippany LLC was liable for its own labor law violations as well those of its predecessor company, JSK Parsippany LLC. Fairfield Parsippany has been doing business as Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott since the company succeeded JSK in 2023.
