NLRB Orders N.J. Construction Company to Bargain With Union

The National Labor Relations Board has ordered a New Jersey construction company to rehire two workers and bargain with their union.

The board on Wednesday affirmed an April ruling from an administrative law judge, which included a rare Gissel bargaining order, and demanded that IBN Construction Corp. bargain with the New Jersey Building Laborers District Council.

The judge found that the building demolition company threatened to fire and sue workers who attempted to unionize, interrogated employees about their union activities, and interfered with an NLRB election during the organizing push in 2021. The workers were scheduled to vote on representation ...
