Tennessee Nissan Techs to Vote on Union Representation (1)

Several dozen workers at a Nissan North America Inc. factory in Tennessee will vote Thursday on unionization after a two-year battle to get US labor officials to approve their micro-unit.

The 87 tool and die technicians at the plant in Smyrna, Tenn., are scheduled to cast their ballots until 3:30 p.m. to decide whether they want to be represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
