Nike Seeks to Toss or Transfer EEOC Diversity Subpoena Lawsuit

Nike Inc. argued a lawsuit seeking to force disclosure of diversity-related data should be dismissed or moved from federal court in Missouri to Oregon where the sportswear company is headquartered, according to a new filing.

Nike asked the US District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri to dismiss or transfer the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s subpoena enforcement case since the agency is limited from compelling the release of information from the company in a region where it doesn’t do business.
