More Efficient Audits, Mediation Planned for Federal Contractors

Federal contractors now have new direction on how they can efficiently resolve Labor Department allegations of workplace bias, and how they can mediate bias allegations before being sued.

The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, which enforces equal employment opportunity laws for federal contractors, released new directives Friday to increase efficiency in compliance evaluations, create a new discrimination allegation mediation program, and outline protocol for interacting with the agency’s ombudsman.
