Microsoft Corp. and a Texas law firm lost their competing sanctions bids alleging misconduct in a resolved patent infringement lawsuit.

Ramey LLP lacks standing to seek sanctions against litigation funder Eric Morehouse, who financed its client CTD Networks LLC’s lawsuit, or Microsoft and its attorney Jonathan Lamberson of White & Case LLP, according to Judge Xavier Rodriguez’s order filed Monday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
