Lionsgate Actress Who Refused Covid Shot Loses Ninth Cir. Case

Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. prevailed in a wrongful termination lawsuit filed by an actress who refused to get a Covid-19 vaccine, after a divided Ninth Circuit found her requested religious exemption would impose significant financial costs on the entertainment company.

A panel of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit 2-1 rejected Andrea Bordeaux’s assertion that a California federal judge incorrectly evaluated whether her request for a religious exemption from the shot would impose an undue hardship on the company’s operational expenses.
