Lionsgate Actress Who Refused Covid Shot Loses Ninth Cir. Case

Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. prevailed in a wrongful termination lawsuit filed by an actress who refused to get a Covid-19 vaccine, after a divided Ninth Circuit found her requested religious exemption would impose significant financial costs on the entertainment company.

A panel of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit 2-1 rejected Andrea Bordeaux’s assertion that a California federal judge incorrectly evaluated whether her request for a religious exemption from the shot would impose an undue hardship on the company’s operational expenses. Bordeaux was one of the stars of the show, “Run the World,” on the Starz! network. ...
